    New/old toy

I've just fitted an old Mobelec Maximiser "trip computer" in the old java beast - I have been buying these up whenever they appear on fleabay, as I used to have one that moved from Sprint to Sprint with me before it died and having acquired 4,. thought it about time I did something with them - I used to chuck them on a bracket under the dash in the Dolomite but when I was looking at the centre vents in the Stag, it struck me that the size was very similar......

Took out the lower vent, and a perfect fit - just going up the road to calibrate it while going to Costco to buy some steak for my birthday dinner tonight....

It'll be interesting, if not distracting, to watch the instant MPG figures, and how fast I'm funding the Labour treasury....

Hi Russ, Happy Birthday I hit the big "50" last year and after waiting 34 years thought I better treat my self and finally get my Stag. Have a great night

Not come across the 'Mobelec Maximiser' before so I thought I would 'Google' it. Practically the 1st entry wasRuss's Ebay feedback page.

So how are you getting on with the 'Circle Pro Abdominal Exercise Machine ' Russ. Which is winning, the machine or the beer?

An air cooled trip computer - that's novel !

Maybe you could take the other vent out and coonect it up to someductinginto the engine compartment and directed towards the heads

The other vent is due to be lost in favour of a digital gear position indicator for the ZF (in progress) and a digital clock - all in red LED if I can find the right clock/kit...

The problem with using a mobile phone to post is double posting by accident. .......

The trip computer looks good, it could have been made to fit there! I have never seen one before.

I'll give it a proper run tomorrow and calibrate it against the gps instead of the speedo and report what I get.

As the SU fuel pump makes the flow/pressure fluctuate the readings wander a bit so they are going to have to be averaged by me.

I need some form of accumulator with a pressure diaphragm or a turbine pump ideally to take the pulses out of the supply.
