I’m about to paint my 1976 Stag after a bare metal rebuild. Is the correct white Triumph White 19?

might be worth getting one of your original panels scanned by the paintshop.
like I said triumph 19 only came up with one option at my local shop.
creamy white, similar to rover white. unless you are going for a 100 point concourse I would consult and choose the shade you likeStags and Range Rover Classics - I must be a loony

Colour code 19 is Triumph White, it ran from 1965 to 1978 so that's what your 1976 Stag will have been painted in originally. The ICI/ Next ref. no. is 3738. Some difficult to match colours have variants eg light shade or dark shade etc but there are no variants other than the no1 shade for Triumph White so any competent paint supplier should be able to mix it from a supplied formulation. Hope that helps

Leyland White NAF is a slightly different shade to Triumph White, I know that towards the back end of Stag production some of the original Triumph colours were discontinued as Leyland rationalised things and stock colours were were "imposed" on Stag production eg Russet Brown, Inca Yellow, Tahiti Blue etc so I reckon a few very late cars were done in NAF, Peter Robinson could confirm this.
