    Gaz adjust front strut Spacers?

I just put a Gaz adjustable damper in my front strut and did it up but there's definitely going to be some play in it that will allow it to rattle. After a bit of research I heard they require spacers under the insert. Could any please tell me what spacer is required and where I can get a pair? Thanks in advance.

I recall with other short versions, folks put in washers down the tubes.

That sounds a little hit and miss, I was hoping there might be something that was designed for the job. Maybe like a bump stop or polybush designed for it. Not sure how much heat from the shock friction effects what you can put in there? Maybe an ally spacer is best?

I made spacers for mine on my lathe. My struts turned out to be the original type without an insert, the strut was the shock absorber......all modified when I fitted the GAZ units with which I've been very pleased..

IIRC the gaz struts came with new locking rings. I filed the threads off the old ones so they would fit down the tubes and used them as the spacers

I did try washers and spacers once but it wasn't very professional so i contacted Gaz to see why they wouldn't fit. They knew exactly what i wanted and sent them free of charge, as they normally come with the kit if asked for. Give Gaz a call direct there mega helpful.

I used a dab of silicone sealant on the bottom if mine, seems to work alright.
