You are right Sujitroy, that connector is the way to go, its robust. I am not a big fan of Olive based cconnectors.

I had that header tank on my Red Stag, got it from the scrappy for 5 quid. Gave it to one of the members at National day.

My stag has a very lightweight / low cost header tank
did try one once to mask a fault.... fixed the fault & gave the tank away.

There are 2 secrets to staying on top :- 1. Don't give everything away.
          2.

The kit has been around for many years, the assumption is that although it has been through a number of design changes, it should be right by now.

I’ve not seen any photos showing the fitting kit, hence the decision has to be made before purchase.

Send that contraption back and get yourself a ej ward , job done in 20 minutes , do your homework before buying , why butcher existing pipes to fit and drill hole in wheel arch to fit secure , really bad design, it been changed more times than diapers.

                    Sujit,
I prefered a banjo bolt to fix this pipe to the top of the radiator, as the other solution sits too high and fouls the insulation of the bonnet inside. Please see my pictures. Best wishes, Dieter.

Can’t see that the banjo gives you any more than 5mm less clearance than the union in the kit.
mine puts a slight mark on the the bonnet lining but certainly doesn’t come anywhere near the metal. Is it so much of an issue to mark the lining ? If that’s dish a problem time to find a new hobby.

After hearing everything and having fitted my first header tank, then subsequently 2 different ones over 10 years ago.
IMO its just a header tank, its aftermafket, as long as it does its job its good enough for me. Besides whats so magjcal and special about the ejward one?

I could have made / sourced my own as I did with my first aluminium cylindrical one many years ago ( which Chris Spain saw and was inspired by ) BUT, I do not have time for any of this .... getting too old ,j ust wanted a ready made one also ejward have sold out.

Nice solution, much more automotive than B&Q.

The plumbing on your red car looks very neat as does the air filter ducting,
