Ok, so back to an old subject. I would like to insulate the plastic pipe from the heat from the engine, does any one have a suggestions (other than using a copper pipe) how i can do this please.
Cheers Mike
I took the oil transfer housing off to fit the T piece and pipe. That bit was easy getting it back on and ensuring the seals were in place not easy. Wouldn’t recommend it !
I took a different route. I fitted the pipe directly to the oil pressure transducer taping and then fitted the T much higher up for the oil pressure transducer (oil light) and gauge. The advantage was I didn't disturb what was there and also it makes working on the T much easier in the future... Works fine...

I "tacked welded" the O rings in place with some polyeurathane sealant applied sparingly. Worked a treat.
I also have the "bare" plastic pipe to the gauge, although protected where it runs through the bulkhead with some split loom covering stuff. Seems fine, no signs of heat degradation, have looked often enough to be sure.
My Stag really didn’t seem to need it but due to a previous experience with oil, on fire dripping to a pool on the floor which was also in flames I did provide some protection! That was a plastic oil pressure gauge pipe that was laying on a turbo outlet - yeah that’s not going to happen but once bitten!
Having access to some left over MGB stuff I used an adaptor from a TR block, to a short piece (8”?) of metal braided hose from an MGB on to an MGB adaptor. That got me inside the footwell where it’s plastic pipe from there
