    EWP controller position

Evenin all, has anyone mounted the Davies Craig controller in the ashtray space or anywhere else?
I've got mine in the rhs of the parcel tray. I don't think there's enough cable for it to go elsewhere?
    Cheers

I have mine in the glovebox, it fits nicely and after a few weeks once I got to trust it I closed the door and don't look at it much! for me it doesn't really go with the 70's theme.
I did however mount a nice 16mm warning/test led on the dash, it will warn me if anything goes awry.

I wanted to put the wires into my loom whilst I had it unwrapped and on the floor so extended all of the wires, then read later that you should not cut or extend the temp sensor wires as it could upset
    it..oops

Its fine, I think as long as you connect it securely(i soldered mine) it wont affect the resistance as they infer.

Found a pic.. Its left hand drive so yours would be on the other side? Only comment I have is that the latest version screens are not great, not the easiest things to see especially if there is some light on them. the early ones were better, wish they were backlit..

I'm going to move the controller because I want to be able to see it while driving. In the middle of the dashboard is a space for a speaker for the radio. The controller fits in a container that I fold up by means of a hinge during use. After driving I fold it down again and put the black plastic grille back on. The entire wiring is long enough from that point to the sensor and pump. As soon as it's ready I can post a photo.

I have found the parcel shelf position is fine as I can glance at it at any time. I modified the parcel shelf to make the controller look part of the car

              Nice!

TBH I’m not bothered about it being in view, I don’t need a stress gauge!

I have the regular temperature gauge I can hear the fan and the over temperature light is there “just in case”. I don’t see a reason to be stressing over it, it just sits tucked away and does it’s job!
