This year I'm planning to get my differential overhauled and wondered if there are any specialists in the South of England please. I'd also be interested in hearing peoples opinions and advice on changing to the 3:45 ratio. The car at this time is fitted with the BW35 auto box. Thanks.

I know richardthestag also had a recon diff from Fitchett that he was very happy with. About £500 from memoryPaul - 3 projects, 1 breaker - garage built and housing 2 white Stags. One runs, one doesn't

In preparing to do this job I've read the ROM and it seems to be a straightforward job of removing the Hypoid, am I right to assume the propshaft and nose extension piece stay in situ and the Hypoid pulls off the splined shaft?
I'm also planning to fit the 3:45 ratio unit as many people have recommended but in doing this is there anything extra I need to consider before doing the job and are there any 'gotchas' anyone can advise upon?I love deadlines - I like the whooshing sound they make as they pass by!

Yes, did it a few weeks ago, worst part is removing the exhaust pipe that runs underneath!
If you wanted to, the extension bearing can be replaced with it still in-situ but keep in mind that the advise is to use a good quality bearing for that..
