Some ZS have gaskets others don't. on rebuilding mine, I added gaskets. One of the suppliers sell them separately

You should check that the very small holes in the rotating plate are not clogged up and the pressure is maintained by the spring, i.e its not siezed up.
TBH its not much more work to remove the carb pair if you find you need to, may be easier in the end..

check out pics of carbs.. e.g. https://www.socforum.com/forum/forum...rts#post805355
on the second pic the 2 screws are easily spotted. rhs the #10 line runs through one of them.
Cheers Mate

Yes Im aware of the choke mechanism, but at the cable fit side, there is a little plate with holes in it to enrich mixture on starting

fuel enrichment valve
Hi
Staggers
Still trying to get to the bottom of my lumpy starting, does anyone know if on the Stroms ,the fuel enrichment valve is fitted to both sides? and has anyone tackled removal of this valve without removing the carbs?
TIA
