I have to replace the nylon speedo drive in the automatic gearbox on my stag..Clive Tate is kindly going to send a replacement part but needs me to send the original one to compare with the replacement, Now I'm not a mechanic and I dont want to drag my wonderful [very busy] mechanic over to my place to remove it. So, according to Clive its a very easy [but fiddly] job to remove the wood top of the gearshift to get to the side of the gearbox that the speedo cable goes into and is just a simple job to remove....So can anyone direct me to a you tube video or give me some advice before I have a go myself removing the top wood...what tools will I need,,,,axe. chain saw. pick axe lump hammer...?
