Centre pin is an earth as is the mounting tab, use one or the other. Left hand pin is input and right hand is output.

I bought mine from RS Components. I've included a photo of its wrapping with the component part number. From memory, the central pin is not used.

I get mine from Moss Motors. It is just a 10V regulator chip soldered in there.
Gauges will read HIGH as the typical old stabilizer quits. If reading low, I would be more suspect of bad connections.

Voltage Stabilizer
Hi Guys, I have been searching the forum for info of where to obtain a solid state voltage stabilizer but have come up with a blank does anyone know if the LD or Rob sport one is solid state without me phoning them or will the ones they sell do?, fuel and temp gauge reading low sometimes.

I've seen a site about make your own but didn't want that hassle
