Soft top front rail ideas what to do

I have the front rail of a broke soft top. I'm wondering if I can make some sort of cover out of it while driving. Any ideas you can think of?

Sounds like a neat trick - you should film it.

    The answer isn't 42, it's 1/137

I have just got hold of a windscreen surround top chrome trim.
my plan (when I have finished installing our new kitchen) is to make a fibreglass top front hood rail, to allow me to make a half roof, cant get hold of a front rail off a soft top, and I wont pay in excess of £200 for a clapped out full frame just for the front rail.
you may beat me to it, good luck, post lots of pictures if you have a go.

How about using a full hardtop, cut across at the B pillar and behind the front latches and create/make up a removable soft section over the the driver/passenger area to create a Stag Surrey Top. I know it's not that simple. Unfortunately spare hardtops are very rare in NZ.

Add expensive, even for a rough one.

                Something like this?

Softbits half hoods are quick and easy to fit and take very little storage space.
