    Benefits of self-isolation

Whilst I know that this necessary lockdown has unfortunately separated many from their beloved Stags, the reverse is fortunately true for me; I've recently been self-isolating under and around my Stag and have made the following upgrades/additions to my steed: Intruder alarm plus proximity sensor fitted (supplied by London Car Alarm Co.); rear springs/shocks fitted; stainless exhaust fitted; CV-type drive shafts fitted; front springs/shocks/repaint; and weber carb conversion completed.

The downside of all this is that I'll have to wait for the 'all-clear' before I can test thoroughly.

    Happy Stagging and stay safe

All in the first week? - that’s a lot of polishing left to do over the remainder!ğŸ‘

Very productive. You can go shopping in it to test it out

Very impressive, I only managed a good wash, polish and new tyres so far. But I have used it for shopping several times, can’t resist

I’m combining self-isolation, housekeeping and exercise by walking 20 minutes to my garage, doing lots of overdue repairs to the Stag, then walking home via the shops to gather essential supplies.

So far I have removed the dash & heater, re-soldered the water pipes on the heater & fitted new foams to the air deflectors. I’ve removed & repaired the fuse box prior to sorting the wiring under the dash. I’ve also removed the brake servo & master cylinder and fitted new.

I'm self isolated, but she is here too so where's the fun in that?

I had a productive electric day, finished the looms to wire in the EWP, made up an OD Loom with modern waterproof connector, terminated some more wires in the engine bay. I’ll have more to do once my care package arrives from Rimmer, it’s delayed but is moving now.. apparently 80% of the air freight across the Atlantic was carried by passenger flights, so there’s a serious lack of capacity at the moment..

Amazing how this affects things you didn’t even think about!
