    Idle hands

Having a little time to play I decided to have a look at my drivers door mirror.
despite fitting a dished plastic washer I could still not get a good rear view without half of it being the rear wing.
so, mirror off, glass out, filed a piece of the washer away and made the hole the fixing bolt goes through a bit bigger in the area needed to allow greater travel.
results can be seen in the 2 mirror picture.
this could be done with a dremel type tool to save the mirror glass being taken out.

      Nice job Phil,

I always have my left hand side one pointing at the kerb so I don’t bash my wheels - doesn’t help of course when idiots on bikes slip down the side of the car when I’m turning left!

The convex glass replacements made a huge difference in visibility for me.
