Does Aluminium not fizz away if on contact with copper, and there is a common electrolyte ? I would hesitate to use it around an alloy head. No doubt the more expert scientific minds will correct me.
didn't know that...…..shame,as it has totally sorted out the leak
please let me know if I need to change it
Indeed, oil is an insulator, rather than an electrolyte. I have used "copper eaze" (copper grease) on many a fastening into aluminium without problems.
