New Hood/Frame & Alloy Wheel Refurbishment

    Good evening,
I would like to have the hood (and the frame?) on my Triumph Stag replaced and also have the alloy wheels refurbished. Can anyone recommend any companies? (in the north east?)
    Thank you.

For wheel refurb I used a firm in Westerhope - on the little Ind Estate where Anderson & Garland Auctioneers are down at the end. Downside was they couldn't do the black painting, so had to sort this afterwards. For refurbing the hood frame with new cover, South East Trimmers - need to pack it well and use a good courier as they're a few hundred miles away (advertises in the SOC Magazine). Don't know anywhere close who's got experience.

      Morning Jonno,
What exactly did you have done with your wheels?
I understood that the wheels are powder coated black and then diamond cut and then if you wish lacquered.
Thanks for your help though I'll look the company up and I will let you know how I get on.
As regards the hood/frame I'll contact South East Trimmers today.
      Regards David

David. That does seem a good way to go. At the time, I wasn't aware of the benefits of diamond cutting - just needed to get rid of the corrosion at the bead that was leaking badly on a couple of wheels. Think there may have been a diamond cutting outfit on the same estate. Just done a quick google - there seem to be quite a few firms in the NE doing the diamond cut.

Jim of SE Trimmers had a son living near Sunderland and I struck lucky as he was coincidentally planning to visit him just as my hood refurb was completed, so he came and fitted it - lovely guy and his missus and mine got on great.

Totally agree with you about SE trimmers. I live on South Coast and would travel to your area if Jim was located there. No connection apart from being a very satisfied customer.

So far about £80 plus VAT per wheel thats diamond cut ,or £40 - 50 just powder coated
also heard about a place in Bracknell £65 per wheel ,but i am tiring to get a lot done
