    Can anyone recommend the best place to buy wire wheels for my mk 1?

      There was a complete set on eBay I think they wanted £650. May be some use.

        Just out of interest are you replacing wires or converting from steel wheels. I have chrome wires on my Stag which were fitted by the previous owner about 20 years ago. He used the bolt on type splines which utilise the existing wheel nuts to hold them on. They do look good and are still in excellent condition but do take a lot of keeping up with as far as cleaning goes. I find the best way is to jack up the car, remove the wheel and then get the old Solvol-Autosol on them but it takes about 1 hour per wheel.

            a mate of mine fitted the 72 spoke 15" on his TR5 looks great, nice way to go if the price and style are right for you

              I fitted 15" 72 spokes for the TR6 on mine, it's been lowered 1 1/2" so I had to roll the rear arches.

                    How do you role the arches on a Stag? Did you use a wheel arch rolling tool.
