Mk2 driveshafts in mk1 Stag

Hi all,
Stag newbie needing your help. Having greased my staked driveshafts I noticed that the UJ's were a bit worse for wear. Question is can I replace the MK1 drive shafts with the MK2 drive shafts?
Silly question I know but....

I recall the Triumph 2000 uses the same shaft.
