Glorious run out this afternoon in the countryside. 30C ambient, ran perfectly, and not a flicker of concern on the temperature gauage. Who said Stags overheat all the time? A perfect car for the day.
With apologies to any suffering from issues on their own cars - they are worth it in the end..Header tanks - you can't beat a bit of bling.

Cleaned the bugs off the windscreen and front of the car after yesterday's drive up to Ilfracombe on the North Devon coast for a golf match. Stunning weather all day and didn't get home until 10 last night.
Look closely at the photo and you can see the coast of South Wales in the distance. The son-in-law of my golfing partner for the day is swimming the 24 miles from Swansea to Ilfracombe today to raise money for PANDA. He is being accompanied in a boat by my Wife's nephew, Alex, and Olympic swimmer Liam Tancock. They picked a good day for it.

I found Silverstone very motivating, so many cars in such good condition. The 270 mile trip, some of which was in Monsoon conditions, highlighted some annoying small problems I have been meaning to fix for ages. So yesterday I spent a few hours on the car.- Wipers would not stop! - when the screen was very wet the wipers would not stop during intermittent wipe - Adjusted the position of park switch
- Heater fan only slow speed - switch faulty, fitted a spare I had
- Cigarette Lighter no power - important one this as I usually use it to charge my phone and returning home phone went flat, took apart and cleaned up centre terminal
- Footwell lights not working - remade all wires with new connectors as original ones easily fell off + one bulb had blown
- N/S window slow - cleaned and adjusted channels and gave them a spray with GT85
- Moved choke to O/S - two reasons, it's a stretch and it allowed me to shorten cables and cut off frayed ends.
- Replaced indicator stalk with spare I had - Original had no positive click action, more like stirring your tea!
A good days work, now if I could only stop that infuriating squeak from the hood frame when hood is up. hang on the sun is out - problem solved! - Alan

Also had the wipers not stopping.. it went away the next day and yup it’s not raining so I’m good as well! awaiting its return to adjust the park switch.. at least it’s a lhd so that switch is so much easier to get to!Terry Hunt, Wilmington Delaware

Wife & I along with Bro & sis in law went down to Greenock & joined the PS Waverley (the last seagoing passenger-carrying paddle steamer in the world), for a days cruise down the Firth of Clyde calling at Largs & Arran before turning round for the return.
Tied up next to the Waverley pier was Cunard's Queen Elizabeth, visiting to let the passengers sample the delights of Greenock, Port Glasgow and other local delights on every ones bucket list. After a short trip 'doon the watter' we parked up in Largs to allow the usual embarkment and dis-embarkment, which wasn't exciting enough to entice us out of the bar. However, I heard the unmistakable sound of a Merlin engine, and a quick trip up top confirmed the presence of a Spitfire flying back and forth doing loops and rolls for about ten minutes.
How lucky was that. Not only that, the boat had 'technical issues' and was delayed, which gave the Spitfire time to fly off, presumabely refuel at local Prestwick airport, and fly back for an encore.
Apparently Largs, which was a staging point for military seaplanes coming over to the UK from America during WW2, was having an air display.
What a great day out, nice cruise on a classic Icon, seeing a modern QE, which we passed on the the way back when she was leaving, and 15 minutes or so display from a Spitfire. And beer.

Collected my 2 older grandsons for half a day playing on the river in Wareham. Fetched them in the Stag, and they both insisted when the time came to go home on being driven once again in the Stag. Their conclusion the car is AWESOME! And they can’t wait for the next trip. Clearly youngsters of taste. And of course today was perfect for a day out topdown.
The temperature gauge stayed marginally either of the centre line which I reckon is pretty good considering we hit 27 degrees C here in Dorset.

Two days in succession we have been out in the Stag with both grandsons (12 & 9). Stover Country Park yesterday, Exmouth today. SWMBO was relegated to a back seat so was looking a bit tousled when she got outDave
