Well not today (battery’s flat!) but on Christmas Eve I unwrapped my first Stag after its road trip from STRATHALBYN to Melbourne - that’s Strathalbyn in Sth Australia! You might agree that’s a pretty good Christmas present. Of course sitting around & short hops on and off a transporter does nothing for the battery so on this occasion we can’t blame British electrics!

Have been up the garage most of the day
Nice to meet Kev White who came round for the sun visors
A mate of mine sorted out my carpets that needed re glueing to the inner sills, now it looks great
Noticed that a PO who had fitted electronic ignition had conected the earth to one of the bolts on the back of one of heads
I removed it and extended the wiring to the earth point next to the coolant expansion bottle near the radiator. It now runs perfectly with no backfiring on deceleration
Had to go out in the Stag to the rescue of the mother in law who had broken down in her 67 plate Nissan Juke lol
That was sweet, because all the years of Micky takes of my classics breaking down...
Stag is now ready for Silverstone Social tomorrow at Weedon
