Hi, Has anyone fitted a bass bin in the hood storage compartment ? does it sound good? any bad vibrations when volume turned up?...Ta.
Sukh.
Um
Now do I admit to this:shock:Yes I have. It sounds quite good with the roof up or down. It can get a bit boomy but set on the minimum its fine. You don't really notice its there untill its switched off but you can hear the radio while driving without filling the street.
You might scoff at it but going down the motorway at70 mph with the top down and my power amp turned on enables me to hear my music perfectly but I would add it gets a bit cringeville still real loud pulling up to a junction, you must quickly turn the volume down.
Does anyone know where I can get some LED lights to put under my car?Only kidding.
can you give me some details about the make/model that you had fitted. What else have you done in regard to the sound, ie speakers, head unit etc
Thanks
Darren
When I bought the Stag it already had a system fitted, I will have to have a close look tomorrow but at the top of my head, I think it is an Alpine in the car 6 Cd changer in the boot Mid and Tweeters fitted in rear and a very large bass bin in the boot which takes up most of the space and an amplifier also in the boot.
It is seldom on because I would rather hear the burble then music. only wanted to free up some space in the boot hence the hood well question.

The Head unit is one of the first Pioneer bluetooth CD units connected to a pair of period speakers cut into the door cards. very seventys mellow sound. a pair of tiny Clarion 2 way speakers jambed into the original speaker on the grill. these are very tinny but lift the sound away from the footwells. The Sub is an old Pioneer one it has a 6 inch driverwith its own amp all in an 18" long tube so it lays quite flat in the hood well. I will need to have a look to get model number should be easy as it looks like the roof will be up today:XSupposed to be going to show in Hamstreet aparently the lawnmower racing is hilarious.
Wife is sitting in Boot fair car park trying to decide whether to sit it out until the rain stops or to give up and come home (her parents have just moved, so much junk)
The sound system while not fantastic gives a good sound, with the sub turned low it just lifts the sound and stops the Clarions making it too tinny. I use the MP3 side of the CD player with only 70s music playing.

Yes, what have you got fitted Phil?
I seriously think you lot should part with your Stags, start chewing and drinking lager and get a reeel nice Corsa, then go and annoy the ****e out of the neighbours, the average age of Stag owners on this forum has obviously dropped below 18 ! Any more of this crap and I quit ! Martin.
Martin, you could try a grammerphone in your boot if it would make you feel better
Jason ( no bass tube fitted)
LOL ! I've got a good 12 disc CD changer and four quality speakers. Whether you can see a boom box or not, you can't avoid hearing the bloody things ! I don't force my music choice on anybody, and I don't want anyone else's choice forced on me, I truly loath and detest thethings. GRRRRRRRRR ! Martin.
