I'm sure the reason you didn't get an answer because nobody knows the area, not because we are aloof, far from it most of us are very down to earth.

Try the area coordinator, he should be able to help, or ask here as we're an approachable bunch with more expertise than you will find elsewhere.

Hang on in there Stef, you will find most of the people here very friendly and helpful, but sometimes threads get missed. I bumped it because I didn't recognise your name and obviously you needed some help. Mk 1 Mongrel? Yes it is definitely a Mk1 (from early 1972) but there are things about it that are deffo not Mk1, like lights in the T bar and not the B-posts. The PO did a complete restore but as he was an MG guy, I'm not sure that some of the things he put back were Mk1 or 2. Doesn't matter too much on the whole I guess, it is still a Stag.
