MPG - What did others reckon they got on the trip?

Just brimmed the tank again via same filling station and having covered 207 miles on the trip, I got 26 MPG.

Is that good considering the Welsh Wales terrain we covered, plus the high speeds that Bruce drives at?

Or do I need to get me Stromberg jet adjusting tool out?

I went out for a local classic car run last night with an interesting bunch of cars. Unfortunately the DB6 owner decided to bring his Audi convertible instead. I needed to fill up and was very surprised to have achieved 30.2MPG over 336 miles. Not bad for an old 3L V8.

You should all be ashamed of yourselves.

These MPG figures are absolutely disgusting and I hope you are all truly embarrassed for publishing them on an open forum.

Anyone who drives a Stag and gets more than 20MPG is clearly not driving the car properly in the style in which it should be driven.

I insist on much better results from each of you on the next run. Failure to achieve sub 20MPG figures will result in you having to sell your Stags and purchase a nice sensible Toyota Prius.

Your post had me chuckling We returned about 25mpg on the run. It would have been less but I had to keep slowing down to allow you lot to catch up

I used to qualify for this when my car was an auto, did 17-18 mpg most of the time, now does 27-28mpg as a manual
