STAG LOCK SECURITY

Hi Guys!

Me again ! tappin the grey matter.........................! I was wondering if anyone out there in STAGLAND had ever bothered about improving the lock side of life on a STAG?...................I know we are dealing with an early car by standards! but it got me thinking of trying to fit a central locking system on my 74 mk2 spec! and if possible?!!!!!!!!!! .......

has anyone out there ever attempted? or in fact was it ever fitted I.E to later specced models U.S or otherwise?,,,,,,I'm curious!!!!!!!!!

I have five motors! -my newly aquired above ....A 4.0ltr 91 XJS AUTO...mint and had 2 utterly spiffin MAZDA MX-5s 1.8 plus a 2.4 VOLVO V70 and a lowered suspension zetec mondeo(gettin neglected.....should not happen but the STAG is priority...totally hooked on the rascal!!!!!

the V.8 burble is becoming quite hypnotic!!,,,,,I fitted a centrol lock kit to my MAZDA MX5- BOUT £49.00 took 3 hrs to fit and am sure with some simple mechanics- could adapt to fit?! a STAG...wot you reckon lads.......????

Am sure DJT and Seaside BILL - and all you super guys will give me some top feedback!!!!!!!!!

Back to the well earned pint ....been undersealing all day! ....god bless WAXOYL!!!!

Hi Phil, not something I've done but thought about it a few times. Have read lots of pieces in the past about others who have fitted kits and if you check out http://www.monarch-stags.co.uk you will find that they will sell you one.

THANKS FOR THE FEEDBACK! HAVIN DONE THIS JOB ON MY MX-5 -SIMILAR TYPE OF LINKAGE ETC....THINK COULD BE A GOER!!! OR AM Ai SHOOTIN MYSELF IN THE FOOT AND DETRACTIN FROM STAGS ORRIGINALITY ETC?!?

CANT HELP WONDERIN IF THE MORE MODS I DO MAY DETRACT THE RESELL PRICE OF CAR? THIS RASCAL HAS OVER 13K SPENT ON HER IN HER HISTORY!!!! THATS WHY i BOUGHT IT(ALL RECORDED!!!!) BY TOP OUTFITS!!! WHERE DOES ONE DRAW THE LINE.................?

I SAY THIS AS I OWN A DARLIN 4.0 XJS! 7K SPENT ON HER HISTORY!!- GETTIN OFFERED SILLY MONEY FOR HER?! IS UTTER PRISTINE- DAMN NEAR CONCOURSE! SO AM GETTIN A BIT RETICENT ABOUT PLUGGIN STACKS OF DOSH INTO THE STAG!

DONT GET ME WRONG- LOVE THIS CLASSIC- BUT WILL THIS MOTOR HOLD IT'S INVESTMENT???
