    Old and New

A photo of my first Stag alongside my current one. This was taken during the changeover week in 2008 before the white Stag went to Northern Ireland. Coincidentally, I checked its MOT status today to find that it was last tested on 27th April this year in Doublebois, Liskeard, Cornwall so has now returned to the mainland and is less than 70 miles from where it lived for over 18 years.

What was the story behind selling the white one and buying the Carmine one?

        Hi Keith,

What isn’t visible in the above photo is the damaged side of the white one. I had a bad accident and, having spent years getting it up to a high standard, couldn’t face restoring it again. As it turned out, the Carmine Stag wasn’t in as good condition as I thought. Its restoration is shown in the new Restoration section under the title “And so it begins...”

It would have been cheaper to repair the white one.

The windscreen area looks like it would have been the hardest part to repair, but at least the screen hadnt broke so cant be that much out of shape by the looks of it
but the one you have now is a nice one
