I'd arranged with him that I could "display" my 1976 Escort RS in his showroom as an eye catcher and could give him a week's notice if I wanted to take it out and use it for whatever period. The arrangement never actually came to fruition as we moved house, but I think the concept would have been a neat win-win situation. Might struggle to find a Triumph dealer nowadays to do something similar with the Stag!

Actually Drew, a similar thing has happened to me, a local Bar owner asked me to park my Stag in front of his Bar so that it would attract more attention/custom.
Didn't offer me free drinks if I did so though!
Saw former Forum member Staggard's Stag drive past yesterday, so he must still be here on the Island, and although it is now a "metallic" blue colour, it looks quite similar to yours.

After a few setbacks with core plugs blowing out; cylinder heads off; and a longish winter in the garage; it''s out and about now and using the most of the late October sun...

    Hi Terry,

I think we should abstain from that for a few months at least as the section is very new, and the idea is that owner's post their pics. They shouldn't feel that someone else is going to do it for them. Let's give the section some time to establish itself.

    Thanks anyway for the idea.

Drew, there seems a reluctance by members to post pictures of their cars in this new Showcase Section for some reason.
I still have lots of photos sent to me by Forum members when I did Stag Calendars for them a few years running some time ago.
Should I resurrect and group them in this new Section?

Drew, did you learn nothing from another thread entitled 'some friend'?

    No offence Klaus.

Ten days ago I had the opportunity to test drive the beauty. Verdict: very smooth engine, perfect response when accelerating, comfortable ride.
Yes, Drew can feel proud of his work!!
