Alternator and Electric Water pump vids that shows installation ??

    Hi All,
Just wanted to know from the group if anyone knows of a video of the installation of the alternator and EWS kit for the Stag.
Just getting my head around setting to the task.
The Kit is an EJWARD thing.
Also, planning to do the alternator job first as that is urgent.
    Ta... Steve

Did you per chance make a video of how you did it, or write up some notes on how you completed the task? It's apparently a topic where others have had difficulties where you succeeded.

I fitted mine some 12+ years ago before the mechanical option was available. Plumbing can be complicated or simple, I prefer simple.

Relocate alternator with all the advantages that gives.
Assemble pump with input and output spigot facing forwards.
Place pump in approx area that was occupied by alternator.
I ordered a special straight silicon hose from SFS, sizes to suit pump and rad with spigot to fit heater return. Spigot must be behind drive belts.
Fit existing right angle bottom hose to pump and existing metal pipe, they may need trimming and bracket turning round. It's all very simple and obvious.
Extend heater return pipe to spigot.

Easy to do and almost invisible, hence no photos. Heater works well and minimum of joints unlike some installations.

                That's it from memory.

you said you fitted your 12 years ago, have you had to replace the pump or controler in that time, tiring to see how reliable they are

Pump is original but I upgraded the controller to later type as it could control the fan.No reliability issues Only heard of 1 possible pump failure/wiring error but ample warning given by controller.

                      Cheers Guys,

I am trying a different way of installing a header tank not using the usual large hose couplings into the heater return hose.
I am basically trying the replicate the plastic bottle, but obviously with an early warning float and an air return.
All relies upon the new installation working / flowing properly.
This all started with not wanting another tube across the front of the engine / call me vain.... Also not wanting to create a 'bespoke radiator with another water coupling at the top (instead of doing the heater return thing).
I have also fitted an EWP which messes things up a bit...

                      keep ya posted...
                      Steve
