    stagweber header tank

Can anyone confirm that the latest stagweber header tank does not clash with EJ Ward's relocated alternator. Website says that the new tank will not clash with relocated alternator but they will not confirm the Ward's set-up as they have no design details.

Wards had to remove my Stagwebber tank and fit their own when I had the alternator moved in order to fit the electronic water pump. My Stagwebber tank would now be 5 years old so not sure if it was the latest version.

Was your alternator in the original position ie bottom of engine or was it up near the LH cam cover when you fitted the electric water pump.

my stag webber tank was a year old when it had to come off this time last year as it was going to foul on the alternator mounted top right on the engine

My alternator was moved to the top to make room for the water pump hence the Stagwebber tank was replaced.

It appears that the design was changed last year. See below from their website

NEW DESIGN FOR JUNE 2019 - MORE OPTIONS FOR YOUR INSTALLATION

Here is a header tank designed especially for the stag. This can be easily fitted, and will provide crucial cooling system protection for your stag engine. This is achieved by some unique and advantageous features:

                1. Low coolant level audible warning system - protects your engine

                2. Top inlet and bottom outlet flow purges all air from the system.

                3. Tops up coolant automatically by gravity.

                4. Coolant flow automatically mixes in antifreeze additive

The header tank featured here is a custom designed, aluminium alloy tank, and being a horizontal design fits neatly into the spare space on the front left side of the Stag engine bay and also holds more reserve coolant above the system level. Note: The tank design has recently been changed - the large hose outlet is a male AN10 screw fitting, whose position is moved to the end to make more space for a relocated alternator. The black 90 deg hose tail is supplied in the optional fitting ki
